boyshapedbox was waiting for me his train at Embarcadero station as I was pulling in to head to work. Always nice seeing Box Boy out and about with his perpetual grin and matching sunny disposition. We chatted for a mo' and I got to inform him of the new Robbie Williams CD and single coming/out now. Always nice to let a music person know something's going on they don't know about. Oh, and send warm thoughts to the b-boy. He's got the lung grunge that won't go away...

Final prep is winding down for a week in the OC with confirmations from southland friends for get togethers at the House of Mouse. I am so excited I doubt I'll sleep much tonight, as everyone who knows me knows how much I heart my time in the "Happiest Place on Earth." Lots of new Halloween stuff at both parks and the usual high spirits for Gay Day weekend, and plenty of time for rest and relaxation to keep it balanced.
When I arrive back from my trip the fun doesn't end there, I picked up a ticket to the opening night preview of RENT at the Curran Theatre featuring original cast members Adam Pascal, Anthony Rapp & Gwen Stewart. (Nevermind that I have tix for closing night as well!) I am so looking forward to the electric thrill of seeing it live once/twice more. Besides, I've been "Galinda-fied" enough this summer, it's time for a change up. And then there's South Pacific at the Golden Gate as well...

7:24 pm - One week to go...

One more week till I leave for Anahem and Gay Days at Disneyland. I'll arrive at rush hour Thursday and settle into my digs for the following five nights. Friday thru Sunday, maybe Monday will be park hopping days. I fly back to SF Tuesday afternoon. Who else is going?

1) jockstraps
That nifty contraption that protects part of your privates whilst letting others go oh so vulnerable. Sometimes utilitarian, often times erotic... Available in a host of fashionable colors and scintillating styles!
2) generosity
I dunno, I give what I give when I want to, sometimes it may seem a bit much... But sometimes a gift isn't complete till I feel it's just so.
3) brotherhood
The bond you feel with a another guy over something, someone or some event you might have shared together. This one kinda stumps me a bit.
4) Wade (Neff)
The one time Colt model and all around nice guy. When his images first hit a bit more than a decade ago he was portrayed as a beefy, butch, unsmiling wet dream. Having met him a few times and discovering to be a funny, sweet and regular guy who just happens to be drop dead sexy... Well he is all that and a side of fries.
5) CEEGARS! (cigars)
Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. A simple pleasure to unwind with, sometimes in the company of (a) like minded soul mate(s). Sometimes a prop in a sexual game, again with a like minded soul mate(s). I am unapologetic when it comes to this vice, as unlike many other vices I am addicted to this one I control the regularity, or lack there of in my indulgence.

Sometimes it's those you work for rather than work with that make it all worth it. In customer service most folks are in and out of seconds long transactions and on their way leaving only a fleeting blip on the radar. In the last week I've been left two special tips from regular customers and not for any out of the ordinary service: merely they said, "for just being kind and pleasant" whenever they deal with me. It feels good to be appreciated by those you help out in your job.
The gratuities? a bottle of Absolut and a bottle of Toasted Head Ultimate Red wine.
