Good Morning Everyone.
 

First let me say thank you for all the wonderful pictures, comments and memories that you have all posted about Tom and your experiences with him. He touched many people of the years and created many fond and snarky events for all of us. The raised eyebrow, mumbling “bitch” under his breath as he looked across a crowded patio or recounting the events or details about anything and everything DCA related. We are all feeling his loss these days.
 

I wanted to give everyone and update at this point and after a three-way with Jose Cuervo and Excedrin PM, I'm in a more stable state of mind to gather information and post it.

Tom did not have any remaining family, a will, executor statement or any medical statements. That means I cannot legally make arrangements for him. So the State is going to taking care of him from here on. With that being said. I will be planing a memorial gathering with the help ofgeminipoohsf  fogbear  and beg1n  for an evening next week, most likely on either Tuesday or Friday. More details will be posted as soon as we are able to put it together.

In the meantime, just keep thinking of Tom and all the memories we have of him. Also, Tom had stated many times to Jodee and myself that he didn't want anything big or flashy, “over the top” with “flowers and stuff”. Yes those are his actual words. So I thought if anyone wanted to do something they could do something which I think would make his heart sing. Hello LJ users and friends.
I , Cameron, the_barbear  am writing this with a very heavy heart and great sadness to inform the friends and acquaintances of Thomas Harris, that at 11:20 last evening Tom passed away at CPMC San Francisco. Tom had been having breathing difficulties over the weekend which he had related to as a “cold”. On Monday evening Tom was admitted into the hospital by aide of Ms. Jodee Austin, another of his dear longtime friends.
Shortly thereafter it was discovered that Tom had developed 2 large blood clots in his lungs and during treatment his heart was unable to cope with the stress. The doctors tried to help Tom to the best of their abilities but due to the severity and nature of his condition were unable to resuscitate him.
I know this loss is going to strike home very hard to many people because Tom was a person with a giving soul and golden heart. But at this time since so many things are up in the air concerning arrangements and the near future. I would like to ask that everyone take a moment or two to remember Tom for his loving and caring, funny, almost childlike personality. Which made him so damn loveable and a joy to be around.
At this point I am going to ask anyone that would like further information or to talk about has has occurred to please send me a message on my LJ account and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Again, thank you for your friendships, love and memories of Tomas Harris, his loss will be greatly felt by many of us but our lives were so enhanced by him being a part of them.
